“How Will I Laugh Tomorrow… is one of the greatest albums I have ever heard in my life. Listening to an album so close to this masterpiece (musically speaking), normally would be something too annoying to my ears and aesthetic. But these Swedes have created something so incredible, that it would be unfair for them to be judged (and treated) as ST clones. You can’t ignore that this album has 9 top notch tracks that could easily all be singles. You can’t ignore the great riffing, the suitable thrashy/crossover elements, the hardcore melodic parts and the catchy choruses that stick to your mind creating a non-stop hit parade to your speakers. You can’t ignore the great songwriting above all!!! Ok, there are a lot of common elements with ST and Dr. Living Dead! as well. But who cares???

Behind Negative Self you will find Andreas Sandberg. Probably this name doesn’t ring a bell or something but we are actually speaking about Dr. Ape ex-Dr. Living Dead! and Ouijabeard singer. Here he plays also the drums making his part even more important. I have to admit that despite the fact that this year his ex band – mates created a more complicated and multilevel album featuring more thrashy songs, still “Negative Self” has catchier songs. As I said before all 9 songs are perfect but if you want to focus on 2 or 3 you should check on anthemic thrash “Dancing With Dead” and it’s characteristic gang vocals, “Negative Self” with the smart lyrics and Sandberg’s great performance and (at least until now) the best song of 2015, “No Tomorrow”.

I’m not overreacting; we are dealing with a great album folks.
