The almighty Tygers of Pan Tang, the glorious New Wave of British Heavy Metal pioneers, have recently announced the release of a special limited edition album, under the title “Tygers Sessions: The First Wave”. According to the information, the album will be released via Skol Records, on February 28th 2015 and will be limited to 1000 copies. He album will include 11 classic songs of the band (as listed below), as well as a thick booklet with lyrics, liner notes and a lot of previously unseen pictures. The cover of the album is a creation of the Italian artist Roberto Toderico, known for his collaboration with various rock and metal bands. All the tracks are re – recorded for the anniversary EP releases “The Wildcat Sessions” and “The Spellbound Sessions”, which were originally available through the band’s fan club and website only (and were quickly sold-out). Robb Weir (founding member and guitarist) commented regarding this release saying he is really proud of the band’s history so far, as well as the current lineup. Also, he noted that nobody should forget Tygers’ history and he hopes that the shows they will perform are gonna be reminiscent of the early days. Later on he stated: “I’m really pleased with the result, in particular with the recorded sound achieved, it really captures the early ‘80’s NWOBHM spirit. To achieve that raw, almost ‘live’ vibe to the sound, we even replicated the microphone positioning to the one that was used on the original recording”
Tracklisting of the album:

“Slave to Freedom”
“Suzie Smiled”
“Don’t Touch Me There”
“Take It”
“Tyger Bay”
“Don’t Stop By”
